What will you do as a Manager Research & Thought Leadership?

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Corporate Affairs and Public Policy team at the InMobi Group as a Manager of Research & Thought Leadership.. We are looking for an expert academic researcher who can analyze and write scientific and popular content with ease. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be adept at asking probing questions, and possess a natural curiosity for seeking answers.

Job responsibilities

• Assist Chief Corporate Affairs & Public Policy Officer: Support the Chief Corporate Affairs & Public Policy Officer in driving the research and thought leadership brand building activities of the company.

• Research and Analysis: Read, analyze, and summarize scientific papers, academic research, industry reports, and other relevant materials with quick turnaround time. Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in the tech policy environment in India and globally.

• Policy and Research Papers: Write policy, position, and research papers, incorporating insights from industry experts and academic research. Draft responses to consultation papers based on business priorities, risks, and opportunities.

• Academic Publications: Author academic papers and position them in top academic journals, showcasing the company's expertise and contributing to thought leadership in the field.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Assist the Chief Corporate Affairs & Public Policy Officer in engaging with government officials, political leaders, and policymakers. Provide discussion points, summaries, briefing papers, and reports to facilitate meaningful interactions.

• Information Dissemination: Keep relevant team members informed of policy and regulatory updates through well-researched, concise, informative, and insightful briefings.

• Content Review: Review content prepared by marketing and public relations teams to ensure alignment with policy goals, risk mitigation, and compliance with local sensitivities.

• Research Partnerships: Plan and execute research activities in collaboration with relevant institutions on topics of importance. Identify opportunities to collaborate with external researchers and thought leaders.

• Thought Leadership Content: Create a repository of thought leadership content for use on various media platforms, ensuring high-quality and impactful materials.

Essential qualifications

• Exceptional researcher and writer with a proven academic background.

• Strong understanding of social research design and methods.

• Advanced degree in a related field, with a passion for the internet, communication theory, and tech products and services.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in research and writing on diverse subjects.

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to prioritize deliverables in a high-stakes environment.

• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Published author in academic journals, demonstrating expertise in a specific field.

• Understanding of using appropriate keywords for SEO optimization of thought leadership content.

• Experience in implementing robust measurement and reporting strategies, with established benchmarks and clear goals.

• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and multi-location environment, delivering work in a timely manner.

• Thorough understanding of different research approaches, referencing styles, indexing systems, etc.

• Curiosity, hardworking nature, and a persistent desire to learn and express.
