Manager, Quality Assurance - Teamfight Tactics

Established in 2020, the Singapore Studio is Riot’s second international game development studio. Riot has been expanding our footprint in Asia and accelerating our talent growth to develop games that deliver great experiences to our players. Our mission is to scale Riot’s games to hyper-serve players.

We partner with our LA headquarters on game development for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. We’re also building teams for VALORANT and 2XKO, our take on a fighting game. The Singapore Studio is seeking talented, passionate craft experts with backgrounds in all areas of game development to build games that make it better to be a player.

For Teamfight Tactics (TFT), the Manager, QA will lead a team of 5 QA professionals working alongside software engineers, content developers, artists, project managers, and producers to create value for players around the world. Guided by Riot’s Test Policy, you will develop and drive quality activities across every stage of the software development lifecycle. You will also partner with your team and fellow craft leaders to improve delivery and create more efficient solutions to everyday challenges, while coordinating additional QA support, often across remote teams, to ensure work is completed effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Impact/Scope and Complexity

• Shape QA strategy for Teamfight Tactics and directly influence development quality across the game

• Be accountable for delivering a comprehensive quality strategy across your team

• Ownership

• Be responsible for the results and delivery quality of QA professionals across your sphere of influence

• Management

• You directly manage the QA professionals on your initiative/teams in addition to guiding their day to day work.

• Craft Knowledge

• Bring broad quality assurance knowledge within game development and understand how QA approaches support team goals

• Partner across disciplines to influence testing practices, quality decisions, and player experience outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience within game development environments - you have supported & shipped games

• 2+ years leading QA teams within game development, including direct people management, performance management, and HR responsibility

• Experience leading embedded QA professionals as part of cross functional development teams rather than outsourced QA functions

• Experience creating and driving test strategies for (live) games, game features, or live service environments

• Experience managing and aligning with HQ stakeholders remotely across multiple time zones

• Experience with game development pipelines and workflows, with art pipeline experience strongly preferred

• Experience setting strategic goals and driving execution across QA teams

• Experience establishing and tracking quality metrics that influence development decisions and drive improvements

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Teamfight Tactics - the game, its sets, its players and community

• I/ASTQB Advanced Test Manager Certification
