Manager or Senior Manager to Deloitte’s Actuarial Services team in Stockholm

In Sweden, Deloitte is one of the leading auditing and consultancy firms with approximately 1 800 employees. A few months ago, we established an Actuarial Services team here in Stockholm, as an integrated part of our Nordic actuarial practice with currently 29 actuaries in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Would you like to take the next step in your development as a professional actuary and work in a dynamic and stimulating environment as part of our Nordic actuarial practice? Deloitte is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Actuarial Services team in Sweden.

About the role

You will be able to work with a broad spectrum of topics, such as:

• Reserve calculations (statutory, IFRS 17, solvency)
• Regulatory solvency capital calculations and own risk and solvency assessments
• Pricing and premium calculations
• Climate risk modelling
• Diverse other types of valuations, using varying methods and frameworks
• Usage of Gen AI within actuarial processes and tasks
• Governance and organisational questions around the work of actuarial teams, including actuarial modernisation and technology transformations
• Risk management
• Regulatory changes
• Transactions of insurance contracts or portfolios.

As part of your role, you will manage end-to-end projects, with direct client interactions, and participate in business development through actively fostering your external and internal networks, through client dialogues, thought leadership and internal competence development.

The exact topics will vary from time to time. Your work is expected to be conducted in different team constellations:

• Audit support – forming part of an audit team as an actuarial specialist.
• Actuarial consulting services – forming part of a team of actuaries.
• Insurance transformation projects – forming part of a multi-disciplinary team.

• You have at least five years of experience as an actuary within life or non-life insurance. Experience in non-life insurance is an advantage.
• You have experience of performing or leading various actuarial tasks, such as reserve calculations, pricing and premium calculations, solvency capital calculations, or similar.
• You have experience of insurance regulation and accounting rules in Sweden.
• You have high analytical skills and an interest in developing further your knowledge of actuarial methods and models.
• Good programming skills (Python or R) and proficiency with Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, Outlook) are an advantage.
• You possess strong social and communication skills and can explain complex actuarial concepts in a clear and simple way.
• You have demonstrated experience in leading projects and working within cross-functional environments.
• Experience from a consulting firm is a strong advantage.
• Business development experience is an advantage.
• You are attentive, adaptable, organised and have strong relationship and collaboration skills.
• You have completed or are about to complete the actuarial qualification of the Swedish Society of Actuaries (Svenska Aktuarieföreningen) or an actuarial association with comparable credentials.
• You are comfortable working in a Nordic environment and are open to travel, from time to time, as part of the role.
• You can communicate accurately and efficiently in both Swedish and English, in written and spoken form.
