Job summary

The Area Solutions Engineering leader will be responsible for representing and advancing the technical strategy within the region, working directly alongside the RVP of GTM EMEA - France. This leader must drive business outcomes by engaging directly with key accounts, ensuring alignment between Sales and Solutions Engineering, and setting the tone for customer engagement and deal execution.

The role requires a front-line leader who can actively participate in opportunities, resolve challenges quickly, and serve as the technical peer to the RVP of Sales — elevating the perception and impact of the technical organization across the region.

What you will do

Strategic Sales Partnership

• Act as the technical counterpart to the RVP of Sales; partner in territory planning, pipeline strategy, and executive customer engagement.

• Represent the technical voice in all major account strategies and forecast calls.

• Acting as the region's senior technical advocate. Speaking at events, conferences and participating in PR activities.

Customer Engagement & Deal Leadership

• Personally participate in strategic customer meetings, ensuring technical credibility and advancing critical deals.

• Drive urgency in deal progression, aligning the team on timelines, deliverables, and customer outcomes.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop Solutions Engineers. Ensuring consistent execution across the territory.

• Continue to look for opportunities to upskill the team and deal with underperformance where necessary.

• Establish a “lead from the front” culture where leaders are active participants in accounts, not just people managers.

Cross-Functional Alignment

• Proactively identify and resolve friction points between Sales and Solutions Engineering.

• Build strong partnerships with Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success to deliver seamless customer experiences.

• Representing the technical voice of the customer internally, working with product leadership teams to ensure we are driving forward product development through meeting our customers' needs

Operational Excellence

• Own regional performance metrics for Solutions Engineering: pipeline influence, win rate, technical validation cycle times, and SE capacity planning.

• Drive consistency in process, reporting, and execution across the SE organization.

What you will have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2+ years of experience managing a customer-facing, GTM technical team (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience partnering closely with Sales leadership on pipeline management, forecasting, territory planning, and deal execution.

• Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud computing, and networking fundamentals.

• Experience or working familiarity with tools and platforms such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and REST API integrations.

• Exposure to scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar.

• Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud).

• Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes.

• Experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation tools, including Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Solid understanding of cryptographic principles, digital certificates, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Knowledge of identity and authentication technologies, including SSO, SAML, and OpenID.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive security mindset.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Passion for continuous learning and applying innovative solutions to complex technical and business challenges.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize across people leadership, customer engagement, and operational responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, or Consulting.

• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CCSP, or equivalent.

• Hands-on experience with certificate lifecycle management and cryptographic tooling.

• Familiarity with code signing, load balancers, and secure key storage technologies
