ABOUT THE ROLE: 
The Performance Management Manager (Performance Engagement Process) is responsible for leading the coordination, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the KIPP Texas Performance Engagement Process (PEP) for staff members in schools and SSP teams.
This position oversees the annual PEP cycle, including the development of implementation timelines, communication plans, and progress monitoring systems. The Manager also manages operational workflows and resources designed to facilitate effective performance management practices throughout the organization. To enhance organizational performance and leadership effectiveness, the Manager ensures that both employees and managers have access to the guidance, tools, and support necessary for productive goal-setting, development planning, evaluations, and performance discussions. 
Additionally, the role focuses on the continuous refinement of PEP infrastructure, including forms, rating systems, and resource materials, to promote consistency, usability, and alignment with KIPP Texas’ organizational goals.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Performance Engagement Process (PEP) Management 
Lead implementation and coordination of KTXs Performance Engagement Process (PEP) for both school-based and School Support Partner (SSP) employees
• Manage and support  the full lifecycle of annual PEP schedules, project roadmaps, key deliverables, and calendars
• Manage the Beginning, Middle, and End-of-Year PEP cycles, ensuring all various phases of execution and requirements are met
• Provide leaders and employees with clear expectations, training, and tools necessary for successful PEP participation and completion
• Codify, maintain, and continuously refine and update tools and documentation related to the PEP to drive process improvement
• Coordinate communication cascades related to PEP schedules, process updates, and implementation resources
• Facilitate PEP training session, office hours, and review meetings connected to PEP execution
Manager and Employee PEP Support
Strengthen organizational understanding and adoption of performance management practices across KIPP Texas
• Create and maintain manager and employee facing tools and resources that support performance conversations, goal-setting, feedback, development planning and the PEP evaluation process
• Support leaders in navigating performance management questions, implementation concerns, ratings assignments and overall PEP execution
• Gather stakeholder feedback and identify opportunities to improve implementation effectiveness, experience, and organizational alignment
• Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate the delivery of performance management goals and maintain organizational readiness throughout implementation phases 
Systems Management, Reporting,  and Progress Monitoring
Support reporting and analysis related to PEP participation trends
• Manage PEP progress monitoring systems, including trackers, completion reports, process benchmarks, and collaborative tools.
• Conduct reporting on completion rates and analyze participation trends to support implementation.
• Detect potential risks and gaps, then develop and deploy solutions to enhance system usability and overall completion levels.
• Coordinate with system administration partners to ensure accurate platform setup, workflows, assignments, functionality, and operational documentation
• Support reporting and analysis related to PEP participation, implementation, and completion trends
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3+ years of experience managing performance management programs, organizational processes, talent systems, or employee engagement initiatives
• Experience supporting manager effectiveness, employee performance systems, or organizational implementation work preferred
• Experience in education, nonprofit, or multi-site organizations preferred

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, and performance management systems

Work Environment: Hybrid work - Reports to the central office or schools three days a week
