Manager of Cloud Engineering

• Lead, coach, grow, and support Cloud / DevOps engineers

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leadership across several time zones

• Work in with Cloud Technologies in AWS, GCP, and Azure

• We are looking for candidates based in Wroclaw, Poland or willing to relocate

As a Cloud Engineering Manager at SmartBear, you will lead, coach, grow and support Cloud / DevOps engineers primarily for our API portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead a highly skilled team and make a lasting impact by driving technical and process improvements to one of the cornerstones of SmartBear. You will work collaboratively with PMs, Support, Developers, and peer engineering teams to drive business outcomes for SmartBear.

About the Role
As a Manager of Cloud Engineering, you will:

• Managing a Cloud Engineering team to optimize quality and velocity of operations

• Leverage Agile best practices to manage the delivery of software through continuous deployment

• Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables

• Cultivate a culture of curiosity, ingenuity, partnership, speed, innovation, and excellence

• Writing code is not required, but you must be able to evaluate your engineer’s talent/output

• Plan, Document, and manage major cloud infrastructure projects

We are looking for you if you have:

• 3+ years leading Cloud / DevOps teams

• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

• English at least on B2 Level

• Knowledge and experience with public and private cloud technologies, preferably AWS

• Experience with agile software development methodologies

• Ability to turn high level requirements into actionable plans with projected target dates
