Job Description
Reporting to the Director Critical Care and Nurse Practice, the Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Job responsibilities include budget development and management, personnel development and management, quality oversight, and department strategic planning. The Manager is a key member of the Hospital’s leadership team and represents the Nursing Division on several interdisciplinary workgroups.

The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate would be someone who has been a manager in a PICU, preferably a busy PICU (we have 23 beds, in a level 1 trauma center). We would consider a candidate who has strong Assistant Manager Experience and is ready to go to the next level. The candidate must have strong personnel management experience and if the candidate had prior experience working with collective bargaining unions that would be a plus.
