Our NEMT company is hiring an Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for coordinating with medical facilities, clients, and internal staff to ensure on-time medical transportation. Candidates must demonstrate empathy and understanding toward clients, including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities, chronic illness, or limited mobility.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain efficient daily operations in assigned service area
Recruit, hire, train, and support new employees
Provide effective communication and customer service internally and with medical partners, facilities, and clients
Manage office personnel including Drivers, Dispatchers, and Schedulers
Monitor routes and field operations to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and service standards
Coordinate with billing/accounting teams to support accurate and timely revenue cycle management
Prepare and maintain operational documentation per Company policy
Support compliance and audit readiness
Contribute to regional growth and expansion initiatives
Oversee fleet safety, maintenance, and repair coordination
Prepare operational and performance reports for management
Qualifications
Experience in Transportation Management or related field preferred
Prior experience as a Branch Manager, Office Manager, or similar leadership role strongly preferred
Knowledge of CA labor law is helpful
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and smartphone applications
Experience with MediRoutes and Symed software preferred (not required)
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated customer service mindset and professionalism
Ability to work with diverse populations including pediatric, senior, and medically vulnerable individuals
