Manager, Network Products
Overview:
The Manager, Network Products will join a team driving product governance and execution of the future of Mastercard’s global core payments network. The payments network is Mastercard’s core strategic asset, directly driving over $8 billion in revenue and providing the platform for other key products and services.
This role will serve as the operational leader for Product Council Studio governance for Network Products, enabling high‑quality, efficient advancement decisions across Mastercard’s product portfolio. The role partners closely with Product Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders to guide products through Studio phases, ensure readiness for review, and uphold consistent governance standards. By managing end‑to‑end Studio execution, this role reduces friction, improves decision confidence, and allows product teams to stay focused on delivering customer and business value.
The role:
- Lead operational execution of Product Council Studio governance for assigned products and portfolios, ensuring smooth progression through Studio phases.
- Partner with Product Managers to drive readiness, including checklist completion, evidence validation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Prepare Product and Portfolio Reviews by validating agendas, pre‑reads, and decision‑critical materials.
- Facilitate and chair Product Council and Portfolio Review sessions, maintaining focus on advancement criteria and value‑ and risk‑based decisioning.
- Surface governance risks, advancement bottlenecks, and cross‑product dependencies early to avoid surprises and rework.
- Document advancement decisions, conditions, and actions; track follow‑ups through completion.
- Guide product teams through next‑phase expectations following Product Council decisions.
- Identify trends, systemic gaps, and opportunities to improve Studio governance quality and consistency.
- Partner with the broader Studio and Product Operations community to evolve frameworks, tooling, and readiness standards.
- Leverage Mastercard Catalog, Studio dashboards, and evidence repositories as systems of record for governance health and operational insights.
About you:
- Prior experience in payments preferred
- Demonstrated experience in product operations, portfolio governance, or enterprise product management within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong ability to translate governance frameworks into clear, actionable guidance for product teams.
- Proven facilitation skills, with confidence operating in executive‑level product and portfolio reviews.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple products and decision cycles in parallel.
- Strong judgment and critical‑thinking skills, particularly in evaluating readiness, risk, and trade‑offs.
- Comfortable influencing without authority and driving alignment across regions and functions.
- Data‑driven mindset, with experience using dashboards, systems of record, and structured evidence to inform decisions.
- Clear, concise communicator able to synthesize complex inputs into decision‑ready narratives.
- Commitment to operational excellence, consistency, and continuous improvement.
