About the Role
In this role, you will be accountable for the strategy execution and planning for Raw Materials Sourcing in Indonesia. You will also be responsible to lead the execution of the overall country and mill strategy for the department in partnership with the cross-functional teams. The main purpose of the role is leverage raw materials expertise to enable brand strategies and growth plans while driving global sourcing strategy through vendor allocation (sample and bulk), capacity planning & AUC management and country/ mill strategy.
What You'll Do
Indonesia Mill & Supplier Management:
• Own and manage relationships with Indonesia-based woven fabric mills, including strategic, core, and nominated suppliers.
• Drive regular engagement with mills on capability building, lead times, MOQ flexibility, quality, innovation, and cost competitiveness.
• Lead mill evaluations, onboarding, performance reviews, and exit decisions in partnership with sourcing, quality, and compliance teams.
• Act as the primary regional contact for mills, ensuring alignment with brand expectations and global raw material priorities.
Local Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Alignment:
• Work closely with garment manufacturers, quality, compliance, and sustainability teams within Indonesia.
• Collaborate with Brand R&D, to localize fabric strategies without compromising global fabric placements.
Raw Material Strategy & Fabric Allocation:
• Execute the woven fabric strategy for Indonesia, balancing core fabrics, VDD programs, and seasonal innovations.
• Assess and manage fabric allocation risks when large-volume programs shift to region-specific or VDD fabrics.
• Support long-term network optimization, ensuring Indonesia fabric selections align with overall sourcing and capacity strategy.
• Proactively identify risk areas related to mill dependency, capacity bottlenecks, or fabric exclusivity.
Cost, Capacity & Commercial Management:
• Drive cost negotiations, should-cost analysis, and commercial discussions with Indonesia mills.
• Support annual and seasonal capacity planning, ensuring fabric availability for large buys and strategic programs.
Fabric Development & Innovation:
• Support new fabric developments with Indonesia mills, including sustainability initiatives, alternative fibers, and innovation projects.
• Enable efficient sampling, testing, and scale‑up of fabrics from development to bulk.
• Encourage mills to invest in new technologies, finishes, and sustainable processes aligned with brand goals.
Quality, Compliance & Sustainability:
• Ensure woven materials sourced from Indonesia meet brand quality standards, testing protocols, and performance requirements.
• Partner with Compliance and Sustainability teams to ensure mills meet social, environmental, and chemical compliance standards.
• Drive adoption of preferred fibers, traceability, and sustainability roadmaps in the region.
