What’s On Your Plate?

Inventory Governance & Control

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions across warehouse management systems and financial systems.

• Own inventory reconciliation between General Ledger and Sub-Ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and timely month-end close.

• Monitor inventory accuracy across all owned warehouses, stores, and 3PL locations.

Shrinkage, Expiry & Risk Management

• Lead shrinkage, expiry, and damage analysis across warehouses and stores, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.

• Review and challenge inventory adjustments and loss claims, particularly those originating from 3PL operations.

• Proactively identify inventory risks and escalate issues that may impact financial results or operational continuity.

Warehouse & 3PL Oversight

• Govern inventory-related SLAs with 3PL partners, including reconciliation accuracy, adjustment turnaround time, and shrinkage thresholds.

• Ensure standardized inventory SOPs and controls are applied consistently across owned and 3PL warehouses.

• Act as the main escalation point for inventory disputes involving Operations, Finance, and 3PL partners.

Inventory Systems & Process Excellence

• Own end-to-end inventory system processes, including system enhancements, UAT sign-off, pilot execution, full rollout, and post-implementation reviews.

• Ensure master data integrity (UOM, costs, expiry parameters, FEFO logic) across systems.

• Support inventory-related system issues and act as a functional help desk for internal stakeholders.

Stock Counts & Accuracy Programs

• Plan and oversee wall-to-wall stock takes and cycle count programs across warehouses and stores in line with approved schedules.

• Validate stock count results, ensure timely adjustments, and drive post-count corrective actions.

 

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inventory Controllers, setting clear KPIs and accountability.

• Coordinate closely with Store Operations, Warehouse teams, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial stakeholders.

• Provide clear inventory performance reporting and insights to senior management.

What Did We Order?

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• 5–7+ years of inventory control or supply chain experience, with multi-warehouse operations exposure.

• Proven experience managing teams and working with 3PL partners.

• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, reconciliations, and audit requirements.

• Experience in retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or quick-commerce environments is highly preferred.
