Salary: $95,000–$110,000/year (experience-based)

Overview

A high-performing, 336-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma Center in Fort Walton Beach is seeking an experienced ICU Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations, staffing, quality, and patient-centered care within a 42-bed critical care division. This role supports a diverse patient population including cardiovascular, neuro, surgical, trauma, and respiratory cases.

Job Summary

The ICU Manager provides leadership for daily clinical and operational functions of the unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care. This role supports staff development, drives performance improvement, manages resources, and fosters a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and staffing to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

• Partner with clinical teams to implement evidence-based practices and optimize patient care.

• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow for efficient throughput.

• Support team engagement through coaching, mentoring, and performance development.

• Monitor budgets, manage resources, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.

• Promote a positive patient experience through consistent leadership visibility and support.

Required:

• 3+ years of recent acute care leadership experience in Critical Care (Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager; relief charge not accepted).

• Associate Degree in Nursing.

• Active Florida RN license (or Compact).

• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.

• Team: 135+ staff (RNs, managers, externs, unit secretaries)

• Structure: One of two managers overseeing ICU/CVICU services
