A key leader reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager, Instructor-Led Training provides guidance and support to a particular region of our Instructor team, collaborating with Instructors for each training program to ensure the highest quality training delivery in the industry. Based in the west end of Ontario, we are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced leader who will play a key role in developing, growing and supporting our dynamic team of safety educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for Worksite’s Instructor-Led Training delivery team within their region.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Ensuring training delivery is in line with internal training standards through recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, coaching and evaluating of instructors;
Being mindful of relevant changes to legislation and accepted best practices in health and safety;
Drive continuous improvement of the Instructor training program to ensure the success of new instructors;
Provide day-to-day leadership to Instructor-Led Training team, including setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing support, coaching, strategic guidance, feedback, skill development and growth opportunities
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive the implementation of corporate programs and initiatives
Recruit instructors throughout region (some travel is required)
Management and maintenance of training centres within your region
Qualifications:
The right candidate has the following qualifications and experience:
You are decisive and a solution-focused leader with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Experience as a health and safety professional and a working knowledge of health and safety legislation and systems.
You are an outstanding communicator in formal, informal, large, small, verbal and written communications and can effectively influence and work with people at all levels
You have a creative and process-oriented approach. You are able to find pragmatic solutions to problems
You have a drive to continuously improve. You can anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of your team and our clients. You are driven to meet or exceed expectations. You are a forward thinker and can innovate solutions to keep the team - and the business - moving forward.

Region:
This region will include management of the instructors within these areas as well as the maintenence of these training centres:
Hamilton, Burlington, St. Catharines, Waterloo, Cambridge, London.
