About the team
The Naval Industry team is responsible and accountable for the on-time production and delivery of the Thales Naval products within in cost and first-time right. To realize this the Naval Industry team is strongly and closely cooperating with the other departments (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Product Segments) within Thales Naval. As Thales Naval we foster a strong growth in demand to our products and to secure this growth the Industry organization needs to increase their focus on operational excellence.

Manager Industrial Operational Excellence

About the job
As Manager operational excellence you will be responsible for the lean, performance and continuous improvement within the Industry production lines. With your skills and experience you will ensure that our production lines have the operational excellence maturity needed to reach our production plan.

This position will also be one of the key-drivers to transform the Industry culture and mindset to become a safe production environment which will be competitive, reliable & predictable and agile, driven by close collaboration with internal and external partners to reach maximum customer satisfaction and goals.

In this position you will be part of the Industry Operations management team and report to the manager Industry Operations.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Realize and improve the operational excellence strategy
• Lead, develop and coach a team of 6 operational excellence specialists
• Implement Lean Six Sigma and other improvement methodologies
• Execute data analysis to make the progress and result visible
• Develop a continuous improvement mindset within Industry
• Build (and use) a network of stakeholders within Thales Netherlands and have close contact with the Thales Group lean, performance and continuous improvement counterparts

About You:

• Completed a Bachelor or Master;
• Several years of experience as manager in a production environment;
• Proven track record in continuous improvement (eg Lean Six Sigma Black Belt);   
• Pro-active, accurate and solution oriented;
• Excellent leadership - and proven coaching experience;
• Strong communication skills;
• Dutch and English language skills are mandatory;
