Job Overview

We are seeking a driven, commercially minded fire engineering professional to lead our Malaysian team, across a variety of our Hospitality projects. This is a senior leadership role that combines technical expertise with business development, commercial acumen, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be a recognised expert in Fire Protection and a strong reputation in the Malaysian area.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Hospitality projects, ensuring high-quality outputs for clients.

• Meet hospitality client and customer needs and expectations by completing assigned tasks within the allotted time and effectively communicating with project team members, clients, customers, and others.

• Review fire and life safety for architectural, mechanical, fire protection, life safety, and electrical design reviews to ensure strict compliance with the International Building Code (IBC) and referenced National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, reflecting our unwavering commitment to safety and compliance;

• Conduct design review and commissioning services for fire protection and life safety systems, namely, but not limited to, in hotels, commercial establishments and restaurants.

• Drive business development activities: identify opportunities, lead proposals, and build client relationships across the Malaysian Hospitality industry.

• Ensure business processes are implemented and recommend improvement for delivering of best-in-class service.

• Work with management team to develop and implement personnel and business growth strategies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Full working rights in Malaysia is preferred.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in fire protection facility design, engineering industry and projects along with people-leading leadership experience

• Proficient in multiple languages including Malay, Mandarin and English.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is preferred

• Successful track record of building, developing, positively engaging, and inspiring a diverse team of employees to elevated levels of performance and proven success relationship building, networking, and enhancing client relationships.

• Good business acumen with considerable experience in project management, people management, and operations led business development efforts.

• Solid understanding of key business functions (e.g., engineering, finance, business development) and ability to evaluate business metrics and adjust operational execution to achieve desired results.

• Excellent organizational, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Willing to travel throughout the area of responsibility as needed.
