Manager- Environment and Sustainability (MAS8-20004097)

The Manager of Environment and Sustainability at Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) is responsible for driving and managing sustainable environmental practices across the organization. In this role, you will lead efforts to integrate sustainability principles into all aspects of QIC’s projects and operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting environmentally responsible development.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will develop and implement environmental management systems, conduct sustainability assessments, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve QIC’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental and sustainability policies, programs, and frameworks aligned with QIC’s strategic objectives.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and sustainability audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Ensure compliance with local and international environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to embed sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, community groups, and industry partners to enhance QIC’s sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare and present environmental and sustainability reports for management and stakeholders.
• Promote awareness and facilitate training programs related to sustainability and environmental best practices among employees.
• Monitor developments in sustainability, environmental regulations, and industry trends to inform continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

Professional Certifications:

• Certifications such as LEED, ISO 14001, or equivalent are desirable.

Experience:

• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in environmental and sustainability management, preferably within large-scale projects or organizations.
• Experience in the Middle East region, specifically Saudi Arabia, is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage environmental compliance and lead sustainability initiatives effectively.
• Strong knowledge of regional and international environmental standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Leadership experience with the ability to guide teams and collaborate across departments.
