Manager, Data Analytics, Governance Risk & Controls

Join our Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) – Data Intelligence & Solutions team within the Consulting Division as a Manager based in Melbourne, where you'll support a wide range of high-profile internal audit and assurance engagements through the application of advanced data analytics. Working alongside a national network of professionals and partnering with some of Melbourne’s and Australia’s most prominent organisations, you’ll be part of a collaborative, positive, and purpose-driven team environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in data analytics, data science, internal audit, risk, or assurance, who are looking to expand their skill set into the risk data analytics and digital assurance space.

The Opportunity

• Collaborate with internal audit and assurance teams to provide data analytics solutions that enhance the effectiveness of audit procedures and risk assessments.
• Translate audit objectives into data-driven approaches, including data extraction, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
• Deliver insights that support risk identification, process improvement, and control effectiveness.
• Work with clients across various industries to solve complex business challenges using analytics tools and methodologies.
• Contribute to the development of data analytics strategies and reusable solutions within the GRC function.

Your Experience

• A passion for delivering innovative client solutions using your excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
• A commercial and analytical mindset with well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and strong project management skills
• Prior experience in internal audit, assurance, or risk advisory roles, ideally with exposure to data analytics.
• Proven experience in data visualization using Tableau and/or Power BI
• Familiarity with ETL and data analysis tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, or similar platforms (experience in one or more is desirable, but not essential).
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
