This individual will ensure Rowan maintains clear visibility into customer status, next steps, competitive positioning, and multi-year engagement roadmaps — while keeping processes efficient and lightweight.
The role sits within Business Development and works closely with Customer Leads, BD Ops, Sales Engineering, and cross-functional partners (Sites, Energy, Finance, Legal).
Travel: Ability to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, site visits or company gatherings.
Location: Denver, CO (3 day hybrid in-office role)

Essential Responsibilities
Customer Planning & Account Structure
• Develop and maintain structured account planning frameworks for priority customers
• Ensure Customer Leads maintain clear engagement plans, objectives, milestones, and next steps
• Support development of multi-year customer engagement roadmaps aligned with Rowan’s capital deployment strategy
Reporting & Pipeline Visibility
• Implement and manage a light-touch CRM approach (likely SmartSheets-based)
• Maintain weekly visibility into customer status, stage, and key actions
• Ensure opportunity data is current and accurate for executive reporting, MBRs, and investor updates
• Support competitive tracking and customer intelligence coordination with BD Ops and Customer & Market Insights
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner with BD Ops to align customer planning with commercial execution timelines
• Support coordination between Customer Leads, Sales Engineering, and internal teams
• Help ensure customer opportunities are sequenced and scoped appropriately
Continuous Improvement
• Strengthen planning discipline as Rowan scales, while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements to enhance execution clarity
• Support onboarding of new Customer Leads with structured planning tools and processes
Education, Skills, and Experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in sales operations, strategic planning, business operations, consulting, or related roles
• Experience supporting enterprise or strategic account teams preferred (data center, infrastructure, real estate, energy, or adjacent industries a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field preferred)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into clear action plans
• Experience with CRM and reporting tools (SmartSheets, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
