We are looking for a highly driven Manager – Credit Risk (AI & ML) to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI- and ML-driven credit risk solutions. This role sits at the intersection of data science, risk management, and lending operations, and is ideal for professionals who are passionate about applying machine learning to solve real-world credit and underwriting challenges.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in building AI/ML models for credit risk and has mandatory exposure to lending for a minimum of 2 years. You will play a critical role in strengthening credit decisioning frameworks, improving portfolio performance, and enabling scalable, data-driven risk strategies.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and Machine Learning models for credit risk assessment, underwriting, fraud detection, and portfolio monitoring.
• Build and enhance credit risk models, including scorecards, probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and early warning systems.
• Work closely with underwriting, risk, and business teams to translate lending requirements into robust analytical and ML-driven solutions.
• Apply advanced ML techniques to improve approval rates, risk segmentation, pricing, and loss mitigation across lending products.
• Own the end-to-end model lifecycle, including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, monitoring, and recalibration.
• Ensure models are compliant with internal risk policies, regulatory expectations, and governance standards.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights that support strategic credit decisions.
• Monitor model performance post-deployment and proactively identify drift, bias, or degradation in outcomes.
• Collaborate with technology and data engineering teams to ensure scalable and production-ready model deployment.
• Support senior leadership with risk analytics, insights, and recommendations to optimize credit strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in developing and implementing AI & ML solutions.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in lending (non-negotiable), including exposure to credit risk or underwriting functions.
• Strong domain expertise in credit risk, underwriting, and lending analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques applied to risk modelling.
• Proficiency in building predictive models and working with structured financial data.
• Solid understanding of model validation, performance metrics, and risk governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
