About the KPMG’s Workforce Management Solutions team

KPMG’s Workforce Management Solutions team enables continuous business transformation by helping organisations leverage technology to improve efficiency, enhance compliance, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. The team partners closely with clients to design, implement, and optimise workforce and payroll solutions that align with their strategic priorities and support their operational objectives.

We are seeking a Manager who will act as a technical leader with deep expertise in Aurion, Australian payroll processing and system configuration. In this hands‑on role, you will lead solution design, configuration, issue resolution and delivery across implementations, enhancements and transformation projects.

Key Responsibility

• Serve as the technical lead and escalation point for Aurion HR & Payroll engagements.
• Lead requirements gathering, solution design and system configuration.
• Design and configure payroll elements including awards, allowances, leave, calendars and complex scenarios.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and ensure accurate, compliant system configuration.
• Deliver Aurion implementations and technical workstreams on time and to scope.
• Support engagement planning, governance, reporting and risk management.
• Estimate effort accurately and support commercial management.
• Collaborate with other KPMG teams to deliver integrated workforce solutions.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute technical input to proposals.
• Validate data and support reconciliation across payroll cycles.
• Manage multiple engagements while maintaining high delivery standards

To be successful in this role, your experience is likely to include:

• Strong hands‑on Aurion HR & Payroll configuration experience.
• Experience designing and supporting complex payroll environments (e.g., multi‑award or highly regulated).
• Background as a technical lead or senior specialist in consulting or enterprise payroll.
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and build strong stakeholder relationship
