We are seeking an experienced Manager of Accounting Services to lead our Accounts Payable and Transactional Tax functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate processing, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manager who can lead a team, partner across the organization, and effectively manage third-party service providers.
In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable and Transactional Tax operations, including daily processing, compliance, and reporting
Lead, develop, and review the work of direct reports responsible for bills, returns, and correspondence
Oversee relationships with outsourced compliance providers, including performance evaluation and contract management
Establish, maintain, and enhance policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency
Coordinate monthly closings for Accounts Payable and Transactional Tax in accordance with the close calendar
Prepare and present monthly management reports, including transaction volume metrics
Lead state and local Sales & Use and Property Tax audits
Perform tax and accounting research, including sales/use tax exemption analysis
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting and/or tax experience
Proven people management and leadership experience
Strong understanding of transactional tax compliance and internal controls
Ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Experience with accounting systems and tax compliance tools preferred
