Role Overview
The Manager, Account Management role is responsible for owning and developing long term, high impact relationships with several card issuing customers in Finland. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role supports customer growth by helping clients build competitive financial services offerings and by identifying opportunities where Mastercard’s products and services can drive meaningful business value.

The position is based in Helsinki, with customers licensed and headquartered in Finland. Fluency in Finnish is a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship & Growth Management
• Partner with customers to build differentiated and competitive financial services offerings based on Mastercard solutions and services.
• Hold primary responsibility for managing several strategic issuing client relationships.
• Build strong, enduring relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.

Sales, Pipeline & Revenue Development
• Drive sales of new products, services, and solutions aligned with customer needs and strategies.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of solutions and initiatives, executing effectively to drive revenue growth.
• Identify and align on mutually agreed objectives based on a deep understanding of customer strategies, priorities, and organizational dynamics.

Account Planning & Financial Performance
• Own and develop the annual and long term account planning cycle.
• Contribute to, and where appropriate own, customer growth strategies with a focus on commercial card business development and mutual profitability.
• Manage financial performance by ensuring agreed targets and metrics are met.

Cross Functional Leadership & Delivery
• Act as the primary point of contact between Mastercard and the customer, ensuring strategic alignment, collaborative interaction, and CRM optimization.
• Work closely with Business Development to define sales pipelines and initiate sales processes for agreed payment solutions.
• Coordinate internal Mastercard partners across business development, marketing, commerce development, customer delivery, product, advisors, legal, compliance, security, and other functions to ensure aligned customer support.

Customer Satisfaction & Market Insight
• Monitor and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
• Understand and leverage best practices across relevant industry and business benchmarks.
• Own relevant contract negotiations with designated Commercial Card business stakeholders at the bank.

• Curious, growth oriented mindset with a strong desire to continuously learn and evolve
• Relevant experience in client relationship management, ideally within card based payments, with strong product and technical understanding
• Proven track record in sales and marketing of products and solutions to issuers, acquirers, and/or merchants in Finland
• Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex topics
• Demonstrated revenue management and P&L ownership experience
• Comfortable challenging established ways of thinking in a constructive and diplomatic manner
• Ability to operate independently while leading initiatives across a matrixed organization
• Fluent in Finnish and English (written and spoken).
