Location: Malaysia - Shah Alam
Main Purpose of Job:
The purpose of this pivotal role is to manage the procurement and sourcing activities for our growing Procurement Services sector. Primarily focused on the Asia Pacific region but supporting the global business, the role includes supporting and implementing the Procurement Services strategy for the region, executing operational purchasing activities, ensuring on time deliveries and maintaining a compliant vendor network.
Key Accountabilities
Work closely with
Offshore, Logistics teams, Head of Procurement Services, and APAC team, to support and implement the Procurement Services strategy.
Lead sourcing and manage operational procurement and purchasing activities for Procurement Services business in the region, and beyond where required.
Ensure competitive vendor rates, and a compliant and fit for purpose vendor network.
Provide stakeholders with relevant vendor pricing information for global and local commercial tenders.
Ensure assigned objectives and KPI’s are achieved, and a consistently high level of service is delivered to internal stakeholders and Inchcape customers.
Drive innovation to facilitate efficiencies and to give Inchcape a leading position in the marketplace.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in invoices checking / Goods receipt & administrative duties
Ensure procurement compliance throughout the organisation and global supply chain.
Ensure consistent and effective supply chain risk management across the region, including logging and resolving vendor issues, service failures, etc.
Educate vendors on the Inchcape business and the Company’s requirements, policies and terms and conditions.
Any other duties as required by the Chief Procurement Officer or Regional CEO.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills :
Essential -
Minimum 6 years previous experience in a maritime / offshore procurement role
Experience of leading complex tender processes
Knowledge and experience in freight forwarding activities
Knowledge and experience of contract and supply chain activities and risk management
Experience of vendor auditing and QHSSE knowledge
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and customers across multiple countries and cultures
Self-starter and an innovative mindset
Ability to work under minimum supervision and tight deadlines
Strong ethical values and knowledge of supply chain governance and compliance
Excellent written and spoken English
Desirable -
Government contracting experience.
Experience in, or good understanding of, technical procurement
Experience in or exposure to Offshore procurement activities /logistics and supply chain activities.
Experience in providing procurement support for newbuild FPSO, FSU, and drilling rigs in Asia.
Experience in large scale, complex, global service organisation.
Education and Professional qualification :

Educated to degree or equivalent level
Desirable -
MCIPS (or equivalent) qualification
