Major Works Administrator
As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Major Works Administrator to support the smooth running of our Major Works projects. This role is key to ensuring accurate project administration, compliance with Section 20 processes and efficient coordination across the Survey, Urang Building Ltd, and 10-Year Plan departments.

Key Responsibilities
Administer Major Works projects and support the Survey, Urang Building Ltd, and 10-Year Plan teams.
Ensure all Major Works projects comply with Section 20 consultation processes, including:
Preparing and issuing Notices of Intent (NOI), Statements of Estimates (SOE), and other consultation letters.
Monitoring consultation deadlines to mitigate risk of challenge.
Supporting Project Managers to ensure consultation phases are completed correctly and on time.
Liaise with Property Managers and clients to gather approvals and funding requirements.
Assist Project Managers with inviting contractors to tender for Major Works projects.
Support invoicing: verify valuations, issue invoices via Xero, log approvals, and liaise with accounts for payment.
Provide administrative support to the Major Works team, assisting the Head of Major Works, Operations Manager, and Project Managers.
Maintain Major Works spreadsheets, prepare tender analyses, and oversee Section 20 paperwork for ‘admin only’ and ‘externally managed’ projects.
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Good financial awareness relating to invoicing, budgets, and cost tracking.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other ICT systems.

Ideal
Understanding of Major Works, Section 20 processes, residential property management and planned maintenance cycles.

Previous experience in property management or project administration environments is a plus, but full training will be provided.
Salary & Benefits
Working Hours: 09:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday
Salary: R12,000 – R20,000 per month
Contract: Permanent
Location: Remote (based in Cape Town, with occasional office visits in Stellenbosch)
Requirements: Reliable internet connection during working hours
