Maintenance Worker, Full-Time

Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization.  We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.

We currently have an opening for a full-time, year-round Maintenance Worker.

POSITION GOAL

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional learning environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Conduct routine inspections of the buildings and grounds, report any issues to the supervisor.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment, supplies, building structure, building grounds, etc.

Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely manner and efficiently.

Perform year-round maintenance, such as mowing lawns, snow removal, etc.

Research and gather products needed to complete tasks.

Assist other staff when needed, including custodial staff.

Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver's License, required.

Job related experience, preferred.

Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Knowledge and ability to utilize hand tools and power tools.

Troubleshoot complex problems and implement solutions.

Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing, preferred.

Ability to use small office equipment and computers.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
