Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety and appearance of Glyfada Riviera Hotel. This role leads the maintenance team, oversees preventive maintenance programs and ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, delivering a seamless guest experience aligned with a premium hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC systems, elevators, pools, spa areas, and guest rooms
• Ensure all equipment and systems operate efficiently to support a seamless guest experience
• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive preventive maintenance program across all departments
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively
• Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring high performance and adherence to standards
• Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests and emergency situations, minimizing disruption to guests and operations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance documentation
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for repairs, servicing, and projects, ensuring quality and cost efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and safety checks
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B, and other departments to ensure rooms and public areas are always in optimal condition
• Support renovation projects, upgrades, and technical improvements across the property
• Ensure proper inventory management of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies
• Promote a proactive maintenance culture focused on prevention, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility management
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and maintenance software
• Solid understanding of health & safety regulations, fire safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Experience in budget management and cost control within a maintenance department
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken)
