Steelmaking Coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. 

Aquila Mine are currently seeking an experienced Electrician at our Aquila Mine, located in Middlemount. This role will see you responsible for completing the maintenance tasks as a qualified Electrician within our underground coal mine.

The Electrician is responsible for completing all maintenance tasks safely and efficiently and to assist Aquila Mine in achieving its goal of zero harm, maximising production output and minimising production costs. You will be required to complete maintenance duties to ensure the team safely meets production targets in accordance with the annual mine plan.

• You will have proven maintenance experience within an underground mine (coal preferred)
• Electrical Trade Qualified and licensed
• Experience delivering best practice electrical maintenance
• Demonstrated experience contributing to a team of professionals to deliver against set targets
• EEHA and HV competencies highly desirable

• Permanent positions available at Aquila Mine, Middlemount QLD
• Employed under the Aquila Mine Operations Enterprise Agreement 2024
• Attractive 7 on, 7 off roster
• Camp and mess provided
