Role Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Tech position supports the Senior Facilities Manager & Community Directors in our two new Dallas locations located in the Preston Hollow & Plano Suburbs by executing the upkeep and general maintenance of the facility, coordinate with vendors when needed, aids staff by repairing reported issues, installing, and moving furniture, maintaining appliances, and assisting our team to ensure a pleasing atmosphere for the coworking community.
Kiln Preston Hollow is scheduled to open Mid May and Kiln Plano is scheduled to open Early October. It is anticipated that this position will also assist our construction & design teams while construction on our Plano location is in progress, by providing routine eyes on the project and boots on the ground support, receiving shipments and working along members of our install team to help with Kiln. Once both locations are operating, this position will provide support for both locations.
This is a Full Time 40 hours per week role. We are flexible when it comes to building out a schedule but we ask that once we set the schedule this individual is reliable and dependable.
Major Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance
Patching and painting drywall
Paint touch-ups
Fixing furniture
Hanging whiteboards
Hanging TVs
Fixing or installing appliances
Moving office panels
Moving office desks
Hanging art
Fixing Door Locks
Moving furniture
Scheduled Preventative Maintenance ie. HVAC Filters, water filters
Maintain inventory of stored items
Schedule and manage temp staff, contractors, and vendors
Manage relationships and negotiate preferred pricing/bids
Coordinate approved capital projects as directed by the Community Director/Build and Procurement Team
Ensure compliance with all warranties and state/federal requirements
Ideal Experience and Skills:
Finish Carpentry or Painting experience is preferred
Handy Man Experience is preferred.
Reliable Consistent Transportation is a Must.
Mileage Reimbursement provided for commuting between the two locations.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow and empathy
Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and values
Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and property repair
Ability to identify issues without being asked
Self-starter, critical eye for what needs to be done
