Job Description
The Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing diverse duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, rebuild, preventative maintenance and maintenance of high-tech production and facility equipment. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production scheduled hours and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine downtime.
Perform simple-to-complex fixes; request assistance when confronted with potential safety hazards or problems that cannot be solved in adequate time.
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment and machines;
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments; work closely with management staff to ensure the highest levels of productivity.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities and contribute to the preventative maintenance log updates.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties; work safely around high voltage electrical equipment, safe utilization of welding and cutting torches.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance cabinet making and carpentry functions.
Serve on safety committee; detect faulty or defective equipment and conditions; comply with safety regulations; immediately report all hazardous conditions to management.
Maintain and repair all machinery and power units, electrical panels, fixtures, pneumatic and hydraulic components, Waste Treatment Equipment and forklifts.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA compliance
