Maintenance Generalist Lead - 3rd Shift - Cincinnati OH

The Talent Management Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Generalist Lead - 3rd Shift - Cincinnati OH.

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated effectively to the team members and efficiently. 

• Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team. 

• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment. 

• Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed. 

• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. 

• Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment. 

• Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals. 

• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure. 

Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of and industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers if experience is at least 2 years).   

 

SPECIAL SKILLS:  

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 

• Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required. 

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently. 

• Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. 

• Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop. 

• Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling. 

• Frequent overhead work. 

• Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed. 

• Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements. 

• Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders. 

This work schedule will be from 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule. You will be working a three-day weekend every five weeks. This pay level is determined by the hiring manager based on your skills and experience. You have the opportunity to increase your pay by testing your skills to the next pay level.
