Maintenance Electrician Specialist

• Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to wiring, conduit and electronic control systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
• Troubleshoot PLC Controlled Equipment with knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
• Work independently completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance logbooks.
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with everyday thoughts for Environment, Health and safety.
• Layout, install, and maintain a variety of industrial process equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Make repairs involving disassembling units and replacing/troubleshooting electrical control circuits.
• Make diagnoses to replace or repair parts and adjust.
• Inspect machinery to ensure proper operation.
• Perform all other skills required of other specialists.

Salary Range: $30 - $35 an hour based on education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. 

• Ability to design and install electronic control circuits.
• Understands national electrical code and safety lock out/tag out procedures.
• Experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2" to 2”, (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.).
• Experience with repair, installation, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment, with an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems.
• Ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
• Moderate physical effort; frequently moving lightweight material in difficult work positions.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical logic.
• Ability to perform general air conditioning service work.
• Able and willing to attend school/seminars of specialized trade.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understand PLC controlled production lines
