Maintenance Coordinator

Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to support our Vancouver Branch (Office Location – 19175 22nd Avenue, Surrey BC), reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager.

A Day In The Life:
• Coordinate and ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of large company equipment and rental equipment

• Determine if company needs can be meet with our own equipment or will need to be provided by a rental source

• Finalize rental details such as when, where and what equipment is needed

• Verify availability of equipment with shops and/or check inventory status

• Filing of purchase orders and related paperwork

• Work closely with other departments to ensure satisfaction and accuracy of equipment requests

• Provide recommendations for equipment purchase when cost savings can be identified

• Update Flynn Hardcat system

• Booking engineers for NDT’s inspections on all equipment throughout the year and updating system

• Ordering parts for Flynn mechanics to repair equipment

What We Are Seeking:
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in large equipment rental or dispatching is an asset

• 3 years of experience in a related capacity

• Experience with a computerized purchasing system

• Experience with a computerized schedule system such as MS Project

• Superior organization skills and attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Customer service experience is considered an asset

• Able to work with minimal supervision

• Mechanically inclined is considered an asset

• Proven ability to solve problems
