Position Responsibilities
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of plumbing, fixtures, doors, windows, and their hardware, light and room fixtures, walls and wall coverings
Repair and maintain HVAC units, make up air units and maintain a regular schedule of filter changes
Complete basic repairs to guest rooms and other areas of hotel, assist Vendors with major repairs
Complete routinely checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
Responsible for the storage and safekeeping handling of all tools, equipment, related parts and supplies
Complete all assigned Preventative Maintenance Work Orders and Daily Work Orders in a timely manner
Pressure washing, prepare, paint and decorate interior or exterior surfaces, as required.
Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters)
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and properly store flammable materials.
Troubleshoot and possible repair to maintain building security
Respond to emergency situations/events and maintenance requests as required
Maintain cleanliness organization and safety of the work areas
Maintain inventory of essential tools and parts
Other duties assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Basic painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
Previous maintenance experience in the hospitality is an asset
Follow proper daily routine, continue with deep cleaning of the rooms and projects on yearly basis
Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrates exceptional service
Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose & rectify building related problems
Excellent communication and organization skills with strong problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a 24/7 hotel environment, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
