An exciting opportunity awaits you as Maintenance Configuration Controller in our Rolling Stock team. In this role you’ll be responsible for monitoring the traceability of maintenance activities performed by the three depots, particularly vigilant for safety components (i.e. running gear). Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the Archiving and Data storage for all Production Records, component documents and counters and will support the definition of the international maintenance planning for the three depots.
This is a permanent role is based at our Temple Mills depot in Leyton based on site. The close date for this role is 5pm on Friday, 24 April 2026.
Internal use only: Grade D1 travel services 1-3.
Requirements:
We’re looking for someone to:
• Oversee traceability and documentation of maintenance activities, with strong focus on safety‑critical components such as running gear and axles.
• Manage archiving, data storage, and production records, ensuring accurate upkeep of component documents and counters.
• Develop and improve systems, databases, KPIs, and procedures, ensuring clear communication and adoption across teams.
• Ensure all maintenance exams, tasks, and campaigns are correctly created, planned, actioned, and monitored.
• Create and structure work reports and maintenance campaigns, particularly those related to safety‑critical components.
• Lead the planning team’s work‑order creation process within the Engineering Maintenance System, implementing effective planning and monitoring procedures.
• Monitor fleet restrictions, manage derogation requests, and support critical configuration and data processes as needed.
• Forecast material requirements, analyse usage trends, support international maintenance planning, and act as the first point of contact for data or archiving issues.
You'll need...
• Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of engineering and operating practices of rolling stock essential with at least 5-years successful experience involving UK or European railways.
• A thorough knowledge for IT systems and system specification development
• Experience in the management of the technical records in a depot and production planning.
• A thorough knowledge of railway components performance and their maintenance regime
• Good communication skills, with an ability to build good working relationships across internal and external teams.
• Developing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• A working knowledge of written and spoken French Language (desirable, not essential).
