Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainline Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including excavators, to perform various tasks related to pipeline construction, excavation, and earthmoving. This role requires a minimum of 5 years experience with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe job site operations.
Responsibilities
Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, dump trucks, graders, and loaders.
Perform excavation tasks for pipeline construction projects, including digging trenches and moving earth.
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment by conducting regular inspections and reporting any mechanical issues.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on the job
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
Minimum 5 years mainline excavator experience on water and sewer pipeline projects
Familiarity with backhoe operation, bulldozers, dump trucks, and loaders is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.
Dependable transportation to and from jobsites.
