Position: Mainframe Testing Engineer

Location: Bangalore,Hyderabad,Pune

Experience: 5-11 years

We are seeking a talented Mainframe Testing Engineer to join our dedicated team at Talent Worx. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of mainframe applications through rigorous testing processes. You will work closely with developers and stakeholders to understand application requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test cases for mainframe applications, focusing on both functional and non-functional testing.
• Monitor and maintain test environments while coordinating with development teams for defect management.
• Perform regression testing and ensure that software updates do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
• Utilize test management tools to document tests, track defects, and report quality metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on application functionality.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of test strategies and planning.
• Conduct performance and stress testing to assess system stability and responsiveness.

Requirements:
Key Requirements:

• 5-11 years of experience in mainframe testing, preferably in banking and financial services.
• Experience with testing tools such as BMC Mainframe Tools, IBM Rational Test Workbench, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and databases (DB2, IMS).
• Ability to create and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
