We are seeking a Mainframe Team Lead to coordinate and support the delivery of mainframe application services, providing technical guidance, overseeing releases, and ensuring effective team execution across development and support activities. This role will be a 12-month contract based full-time on-site in Darwi, NT.
Requirements:
What You’ll Do
• Coordinate and support the delivery of mainframe application development and maintenance activities
• Plan and oversee system releases across development, test, and production environments
• Provide technical guidance and support to developers and support teams
• Assist with 3rd level support, incident resolution, and issue escalation
• Support integration activities and ensure alignment across interconnected systems
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and deployment processes
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure delivery expectations are met
• Support continuous improvement and team capability development
What You’ll Bring
• Strong experience in mainframe application development and support environments
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, SQL, and related mainframe technologies
• Experience supporting system releases, testing, and deployment activities
• Understanding of integration and interface technologies
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments
• Ability to coordinate technical tasks and support team delivery outcomes
• Experience working with stakeholders across business and technical areas
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear technical guidance
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading small technical teams
