Minimum 5 years experience of development on SAS on mainframe environment.

Minimum 5 years of experience on production support for mainframe applications

Some of the high-level work would include:

To develop and support application written in SAS language and SAS Macros

production support for the various batch jobs running on the mainframe environment

learning the Client's code base, how it works today

being able to grasp how it needs to change going forward

participate as an active thought partner in how to define and accomplish a technical solution

help resolve data problems by explaining what the code is doing and documenting as needed to communicate

technically fix coding problems in the existing code base, or be able to rewrite programs, macros, Procs, JCL etc. to implement a better newer technical approach

doing analysis to inform me and others, come up with technical alteratives and estimates for the work
