• Source: A recruiter sources candidates from various sources; the search starts from our proprietary database. Using advanced sourcing methods like social media, professional networking media, internal, and 3rd party job boards, we identify qualified candidates.
• Validate: A recruiter validates the candidates’ experience and skill sets against our client’s position.
• Initial Screening: Based on the position and the client’s work culture, the recruiter uses initial screening questions to determine the most suitable candidates.
• Submit: the recruiter will submit to the technical team qualified candidates who have passed the initial screening.
• Technical Screening: The technical team then prepares a matrix of the particular requirements and required experience for the position and using a list of questions and the results, re-validates the candidates’ technical skills.
• Background Check: Administrative personnel will provide a detailed background check, as required, per client agreement.
• On board: On successfully completing the above steps, the candidates are welcomed on board and assisted to ensure a smooth integration at the client’s location.
Client seeks to procure a contractor to fill the Mainframe Programmer/ Analyst role to support migration of the current legacy system to the new unemployment insurance system.
Business Need/Justification: Currently, there are insufficient IT staff members to:
(1) Support the analysis of mainframe programs to port to a new unemployment insurance application
(2) Develop the 180 interfaces for a new unemployment insurance application
(3) Support legacy data cleansing
(4) Perform data conversion for the new system project. In order to avoid falling behind with the new project development schedule dictated by the Client, the agency seeks to procure a contractor to fill the Mainframe Programmer/ Analyst role to support migration of the current legacy system to new unemployment insurance system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required Skills:
• Knowledge and programming skills with COBOL 10years, CICS 10 yrs, VSAM 10yrs, JCL 10yrs., and SQL
• Knowledge and experience in modifying mainframe applications beginning with a user request through coding, testing and implementation 10 yrs.
• System and data analysis skills.
• Program unit and integration test script development and test execution skills.
• Ability to write system and interface specifications.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintain, enhance, and develop mainframe programs for new interfaces, conversion, data cleansing, and processing for legacy systems.
• Program test script development and test execution.
• Analyze existing programs and document their functionality.
• Corrects bugs in existing mainframe programs.
• Systems and data analysis.
