Macroeconomic Research, 6 Months Full-time Internship (Jul- Dec 2026)

State Street Global Markets – FX Sales, Trading and Research – Multi-Asset Strategy Team

You will be an important member of the Multi Asset Strategy team with State Street's Global Markets business in a front office role. Centrally located on Global Markets trading floor within FX Sales and Trading, the team writes and publishes research commenting on financial market conditions, expressing trade ideas, and forecasting economic releases. Due to the team’s primary focus on FX, the job requires an interest in macroeconomics, financial markets, and international politics. The team’s research and publications also have a broad perspective covering FX, fixed income, and equity markets.

Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to research insights, trade ideas, and Charts of the Week publications.
Gather market data using Bloomberg and other data resources for strategists.
Assist in specific requests from internal teams and external clients for charts and presentations.
Stay up to date and informed on the major themes in FX, fixed income, and equity markets.
Publish a daily market recap for Asia clients.

Qualifications
Previous co-op experience preferred.
A strong work ethic and an ability to work under pressure
You must have a strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
You must have a strong background in Macroeconomics
An interest in the issues facing the global economy and how these impact investment decisions.
A thirst for knowledge regarding financial markets and what drives them.

Salary Range:

$41,600 - $65,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
