Job Description
Reporting to the Machine Shop Lead, we are actively looking for a Machinist.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and high-quality machine shop through-put by delivering top-quality parts within allotted timeframes.
Ensure personal compliance with all documentation requirements, including time-tracking, quality assurance, operation completion, and AS9100D.
Ensure personal compliance with existing team standards.
Follow and help improve existing processes and procedures.
Support, execute, and expand upon management initiatives.
Champion the maintenance of a safe and clean department.
Required Skills:
4+ years of CNC machining experience - Journeyman Machinist, Red Seal Machinist or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software. Modelling and CAM, long-hand, and macro programming would all be beneficial. Fusion experience is an asset.
Strong knowledge of CNC milling, milling tools and milling holders.
Strong knowledge of CNC lathes, and manual machine tools.
ERP usage for planning, scheduling and managing work required. ProShop ERP experience is an asset.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Office.
Strong communication and soft skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
Adaptable to rapidly changing and evolving environments.
Creative approach to problem-solving in both machining and management problems.
