Job Description
Why we exist
The internet is vast, constantly shifting, and increasingly hostile. At Modat, we map its entirety on a daily basis. We are an internet scanning platform that visits every IPv4 address every single day, collecting a massive, contextual data lake of what devices are exposed and what infrastructure is being built.
We use this data to identify malicious infrastructure before it is actively used in attacks. By spotting the patterns in how bad actors set up their operations, we provide predictive threat intelligence to some of the world's most critical organizations. Our clients include top-tier threat intel companies like Recorded Future, major financial institutions like HSBC and MasterCard, and national government agencies (CERTs/CSEs) protecting critical infrastructure.
We are a well-funded, fast-growing startup (~15 people) approaching €1M ARR, backed by over €3M in pre-seed funding with a larger round on the horizon.
What we’re building
Our team has developed predictive models of maliciousness based on years of academic research and our proprietary data lake. Now, we are taking these models from research into production at scale.
The cybersecurity landscape is moving toward agentic AI. Our clients (SOCs, SIEMs, and MSSPs) are increasingly deploying autonomous agents for threat hunting. We are building the data layer and our own specialized agents that will interface directly with our clients' agents, making our intelligence repository accessible and actionable for AI-driven security operations.
