Medical Assistant – Pain Management
Location: Indiana / Kentucky
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time | Alternate Weekends Preferred
Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support a busy Pain Management clinic. This role involves assisting with clinical procedures, preparing patients, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Ideal for candidates comfortable working alternate weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients and collect vital signs, medical history, and pain assessments.
Assist physicians with in-office procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point therapy.
Prepare and clean procedure rooms; sterilize instruments as needed.
Document clinical notes and patient information accurately in the EMR system.
Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, and follow-ups.
Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions.
Ensure a high standard of infection control and patient safety.
Collaborate with nursing and front-desk staff to maintain a smooth patient flow.
Schedule Notes:
Day shifts primarily (no overnights).
Alternate weekends preferred to support rotating provider schedules.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification preferred but not always required.
6 months – 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in pain management, orthopedic, or neurology settings.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Familiarity with EMR systems
