We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in M&E and Building Services to join our team on-site at our Thameside project in Tilbury, Essex.
This role is offered on a contract basis from  5th May 2026 until 30th April 2027.
Competitive day rate £500 (negotiable depending on experience).
Role Overview
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will provide expert commercial and cost management support across mechanical, electrical, and building services packages, ensuring effective contract administration, cost control, and value optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage contract administration and procurement processes for M&E and building services works
• Monitor project costs and deliver accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve best value and commercial outcomes
• Support preparation of final accounts and resolution of contractual claims
• Utilise BIM and 3D models to enhance accuracy and efficiency in quantity take-offs

Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5–10 years’ experience in M&E and building services quantity surveying
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems
• Experience working with IChemE suite of contracts
• Solid understanding of construction contracts and procurement methodologies
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
This role is offered on a contract basis from 5th May 2026 until 30th April 2027.
