In this dynamic environment, we are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Senior Associate to join our Financial Services Corporate Finance team in Athens.

As a Senior Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions within the Financial Institutions sector, you will be at the forefront of transformative banking and financial services transactions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Collaborating with experienced M&A professionals recognized for their deep industry knowledge and commitment to excellence, you will drive high-profile deals that shape the future of financial institutions across the Greek market.

In this role, you will apply advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques tailored to complex transactions, delivering insightful analysis that guides strategic client decisions. Your responsibilities will span the full transaction lifecycle, including market screening and identification of potential targets or investors, preparing persuasive marketing materials such as comprehensive pitch books and customized presentations, and actively participating in negotiation processes through to deal signing and completion.

Your daily activities will involve close cooperation with cross-functional teams—including legal, regulatory, and risk experts—to address transactional complexities and ensure smooth execution. By fostering strong relationships with influential clients and industry leaders, you will expand your professional network and make a meaningful impact on clients’ growth ambitions and the broader evolution of the financial sector.

What you bring matters 

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant discipline  
• More than three (3) years of professional experience in mergers & acquisitions, financial modelling and business plan preparation gained in the financial advisory sector, banking or management consulting industry  
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and the handling of large data sets including a good knowledge of at least an additional programming language  
• A relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CFA) completed or towards completion would be highly regarded  
• Extensive knowledge of applicable valuation techniques, accounting and reporting standards (e.g. IFRS, Greek GAAP, Greek chart of accounts) and understanding of related risks in the applicable financial statement areas  
• Analytical thinking and strong financial acumen to solve complex problems  
• A passion for finance and the economy  
• Confident and positive attitude  
• Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building client relationships  
• Advanced collaboration skills  
• Strong verbal and writing skills in English and Greek
