LV2 Field Technician

Purpose of Job: 

Install, service, repair, and commission actuators and associated equiptment at Rotork customer sites. 

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• Identify faults, repair, and test/ commission actuators in the field and modify / upgrade where needed.
• Carry out inspections / health checks on Rotork actuators.
• Carry out mechanical / electrical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaption components, pedestals, and drive shafts.
• Produce good quality site visit reports for each job in a timely manner.  Complete and submit all expenses / time sheets  on a weekly basis.
• Carry out detailed site surveys gathering all details required to enable manufacture of adaption components for site installations.
• Produce / review risk assessments and method statements in line with site requirements.
• Provide basic set up training to customers if required.
• Promote the capabilities of Rotork Site Services and identify business opportunities.
• Complete all health and safety training and documentation requirements as required. Deliver work while complying with Rotork H&S requirements.  
• Keep company vehicle clean and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers service schedule.

• 3 to 5 years' experience with actuators and valves
• A technical apprenticeship and qualification in electrical engineering
• Experience in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role
• Experience in industrial valve actuation is preferable
• Proficient in using MS office – including outlook, word, excel
