Position Summary:
The Lube Service Technician I is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and basic service on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles at various jobsites located throughout the valley. This role supports the field operations by ensuring equipment is properly lubricated, serviced, and inspected to minimize downtime. Ideal for individuals looking to build a career in construction or diesel mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine oil, filter, and fluid changes on heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, etc.)
Grease all fittings and components according to maintenance schedules
Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, and safety concerns
Check and maintain fluid levels (engine oil, hydraulic, coolant, fuel systems)
Assist with preventative maintenance (PM) services and minor repairs
Maintain accurate service logs and inspection reports
Keep shop, lube truck, and work areas clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Support mechanics and technicians as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Interest in heavy equipment, diesel, or construction industry
Basic mechanical aptitude (experience a plus, not required)
Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
Schedule:
Shift Options: 10:00am - 6:30pm or 12:00pm - 8:30pm (1/2 hour lunch)
Overtime and weekend work may be available based on project needs
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling
Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment
Work in outdoor environments (heat, dust, noise)
Work Environment:
Construction sites, equipment yard, and/or shop setting
Exposure to heavy machinery, moving equipment, and jobsite conditions
