Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated LTC Lead Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our long-term care pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the Pharmacy Manager in coordinating daily workflow, supervising pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining efficient medication dispensing operations for long-term care facilities.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
Coordinate workflow to ensure timely medication dispensing and delivery
Assist in training and onboarding new technicians
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company pharmacy regulations
Maintain accurate medication packaging, labeling, and documentation
Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and order entry
Monitor inventory levels and assist with medication ordering
Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns to pharmacy management
Support quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
Assist with emergency medication kit preparation, tracking, and restocking
Assist with third-party insurance claim resolution and rejection troubleshooting
Support Medicate Part D and Medicaid billing processes
Prepare and maintain documentation for insurance audits and internal quality audits
Work with pharmacists to resolve billing discrepancies and claim corrections
Position Requirements:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
Active Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure in Georgia
3+ years of pharmacy technician experience (long-term care pharmacy preferred)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication packaging, and regulatory standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
