Since opening our first facility in Magnolia, Mississippi in 2015, we have grown to include 12 locations across Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi.
As we continue to grow, we are actively expanding our Lake Charles team in preparation for increasing our capacity to 46 beds, allowing us to better serve both adult and geriatric patient populations.

We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our clinical team on the Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM) working a 2/3 block schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, focusing on both the medical and behavioral health needs of patients.
In this role, the LPN administers medications, monitors patient conditions, documents observations, and assists in implementing individualized care plans. They support patients with daily activities, help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, and observe for changes in behavior or symptoms, reporting concerns to the treatment team. The LPN also plays a key role in patient communication, offering support and reinforcing coping strategies. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and compassion are essential to ensure safe, effective care in a mental health setting.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Certification from approved Practical Nursing Program
License: Licensed as an LPN to practice in the State of Louisiana.
Experience: One-year LPN experience is preferred. Previous experience with behavioral health and geriatrics is strongly preferred.
