Job Summary:
Clinic Licensed Practical Nurses are required to administer medications, care for, and record care for patients in this facility under established departmental policies and procedures and under the supervision of and/or by order of physicians and physician extenders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate all incoming patients for services and document the nature of the problem and as well as all current medications into the patient’s medical record.
Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, weights and heights.
Review the chart to ensure that all labs, x-ray and other pertinent clinical information are contained within.
Escort the patient to the appropriate room for treatment.\
Assist healthcare providers with direct patient care as needed.
Required to transfer or assist in patient transfers to the hospital as needed.
Cross train to fill in and cover any position, duty or function of the practice as requested by Clinic Director or other appropriate personnel.
Actively participates in ongoing assessments and performance improvement of patient care within the clinic.
Exhibits an attitude which promotes harmony and goodwill in the workplace.
Ensures that all protected health information remains confidential in accordance with facility policies and procedures as well as legal regulations.
Ordering of supplies that is required for patient care and stocking of supplies in patient care areas.
Assist with all compliance requirements of the clinic (logs, controls, etc.).
Education/Qualification Requirements:
Must have successfully completed an LPN course from an accredited nursing program.
Must maintain a current Georgia LPN license.
Must maintain a current CPR certification.
Must have passed the Georgia State Board.
Must have proficient oral and written communication skills.
20 hours of Continuing Education every two (2) years by a board approved provider in order to maintain LPN license.
Experience:
Prior experience as an LPN is preferred but not required.
Language Skills:
Ability to reach and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
